Comentarios: Utilizo ambas plataformas hace muchos años y me parece el mejor panel para administración para un servidor web, mi experiencia es satisfactoria, es rápido de usar y de aprender, tiene buena documentación y buenas herramientas, asi como personalizable

Puntos a favor:

Que es muy fácil y rápido de manejar, el diseño es sencillo e intuitivo, es de mucha ayuda que sus opciones estén agrupadas en categorías, y que con el transcurso de los años se ha ido potenciando con nuevas herramientas

Contras:

No he encontrado cosas que no me gusten, hasta el momento

Cpanel como herramienta de administración de Servidor y Hosting Web

Comentarios: Se puede considerar una buena opción para la administración de sitios web que no tengan tanta demanda de usuarios y sencillo. Es de fácil manejo e implementación.

Puntos a favor:

Facilidad para usarlo en la administración de servidor o hosting. Herramientas para el manejo de complementos web y desarrollo de sitios web.

Contras:

Funciones en un entorno visula oculto, que dificulta encontrarlos en las opciones.

Que nada escape de tu control con cPanel & WHM

Comentarios: Gracias a cPanel & WHM puedo administrar mis servidores desde un solo panel de control, además realizar funciones como instalar aplicaciones, creación y administración de correos, dominios y sub-dominios entre otros, sin duda todo lo que se necesita para administrar una web.

Puntos a favor:

Es una herramienta muy útil para la gestión y administración de servidores, ya que cuenta con una amplia variedad de funciones y características que facilitan el control y monitoreo de los mismos. Además, su interfaz intuitiva y fácil de usar, hace que sea accesible incluso para usuarios que no tienen experiencia en la administración de servidores.

Contras:

Una de sus desventajas puede ser que es costoso para usuarios con un presupuesto limitado, especialmente para aquellos que solo necesitan administrar un pequeño número de sitios web. Además, algunas personas también han informado que la interfaz de usuario puede ser un poco desordenada y difícil de navegar para aquellos que no están familiarizados con ella.

Muy buena opción para Revendedores de panel de control para Hosting

Comentarios: Definitivamente es un software muy estable, He estado usando cPanel & WHM durante más de dos años y debo decir que es increíble. La interfaz es muy intuitiva aunque con la gran cantidad de herramientas que tiene, uno se suele perder en los primeros meses, el tiempo de respuesta del servidor es muy bueno y simplemente hace la vida más fácil.

Puntos a favor:

Yo diría que es el panel de control más robusto y completo que existe en la actualidad para administrar Servidores y principalmente para revender servicios de Hosting.La gran cantidad de configuraciones que tiene para administrar usuarios, servidores, aplicaciones web, etc; hace que este panel sea una gran opción.

Contras:

Yo diría que no es de los más baratos que existen en el mercado.Me gustaría que renovaran su interfaz, que modernizaran su diseño, etc.Deberían crear una APP para movil donde permita manejar las principales funcionalidades del Panel.

Administrador de servidor muy completo y sencillo

The Standard For Web Hosting Management

Comentarios: Set as the industry standard for web hosting I find cPanel & WHM to have a very smooth learning curve even for noobs.

Puntos a favor:

The fact that the community has embraced cPanel & WHM for decades makes support easily accessible with a simple web search and it's documentation and wiki comes in very handy.

Contras:

The licensing for the duo is quite expensive for startups and small business.

cPanel & WHM get the job done

Comentarios: Overall, I've used cPanel & WHM for over a decade and it's been a rock solid management tool. Even with the price increase, I'll continue using the cPanel / WHM combo because "it just works"

Puntos a favor:

Both cPanel and WHM are both widely used in the industry and easy to learn. Client to client, server to server, you know what you're going to get and how to use it.

Contras:

The recent price increase has led to folks moving away from cPanel which has led to more competition in the marketplace. The unfortunate side effect of this is you will need to start learning how to use the competing software or building their own leading to a fracturing of the user base.

Not my cup of tea

Comentarios: cPanel worked until i encountered enough frustration and simple things like running a multi-site turned me away.

Puntos a favor:

Works well when hosting one site. Configuration and setup is quick and doesn't take much effort.

Contras:

I didn't like the limitations that came with hosting subdomains and webmail.

A very simple and easy to use software which has made it incredibly easy for us to run multiple websites for our company under one web server.

Contras:

Some features may be more difficult to understand for beginners.

The Best Data Panel

Comentarios: I've had the best experience managing cPanel even from higher roles since I used to provide the cPanel capabilities to web hosting customers. For me, it is the best dashboard out there, and it is highly advised for any one looking to manage a server.

Puntos a favor:

The Cpanel is fairly easy to use. The user interface is super friendly. The learning curve works better in an intuitive enviroment as the shown in Cpanel. Managing and installing frameworks such as WordPress runs with ease. Creating email addresses and managing them is super smooth and easygoing.

Contras:

No cons so far in comparison with similar alternatives that might be a little more powerful, but requires much more time to get used to and managing.

Great set of tools for managing hosting for clients

Comentarios: Cpanel and WHM was one of the first to provide a layer of abstraction on server managment, and a web interface that worked pretty well. It was our main choice for many years to create, manage and sell hosting services.

Really solid, lots of features, multiuser setup

Contras:

It's feels old, is too clumsy sometimes for small projects, not too elastic for new deployments

My goto platform for web hosting

Comentarios: I have built a web hosting business upon cPanel & WHM. WHM & cPanel make my business operations simple, efficient, and scalable.

Puntos a favor:

I've used cPanel for most of my web industry career. It's grown more friendly over time and is central to my small business's operations. It is powerful, complete, well-known, and well-supported. I can deploy opensource web apps with ease through Softaculous.

Contras:

The built-in analytics. I never use them, preferring Google Analytics. They take up disk space through log files, and don't appear to be an optional feature you can turn off.

cPanel & WHM

Comentarios: I can say cPanel is the best panel for hosting i have ever used, is easy to use, has a nice and intuitive user interface which makes it easy to navigate.

Puntos a favor:

cPanel is the ultimate website and email management system. I really like that it is very easy to create new email addresses and access them easily. Hosting new application on new domains or subdomains is fast because you can manage domains, files and everything else. Setting up the PHP requirements for different apps is a must for optimal performance and security.

Contras:

For a great performance, the hardware part must have some resources.

Easy tool, but you should know what you're doing

Comentarios: cpanel is the stock tool from our website host, so I've only ever known this tool. Despite not being an IT/web developer, I feel pretty confident I can get whatever I need to do done for my website, though I am always fearful I'm allowing some sort of door open for a web threat.

Puntos a favor:

I can manage everything with my website from cpanel. All the tools are clearly listed and labeled.

Contras:

Some tools are not as well defined and "hand-hold"-ey as others. The tool is clearly intended more for people who know what they're doing (IT), but I was still able to flounder my way through most things.

cPanel & WHM makes remote web management easy

Comentarios: cPanel & WHM makes it easy for someone like me to take care of the things specific to my business without needing to code PHP or administrate an Apache server.

Puntos a favor:

I primarily use cPanel to access our WordPress installation as well as File Manager, primarily when verifying that "deleting" a plugin has actually deleted all of the associated files and folder. I also make use of the backup/restore feature when things go wrong during configuration. I made use of the DNS Zone access feature in the past when using my web host's DNS servers. In general, I have found cPanel to be a solid graphic UI for my server and WP installation.

Contras:

They change the UI occasionally which takes some getting used to. In general, no complaints

I recommend to most clients, providing they are an end user

Contras:

Nothing I don't like about the software, but there was some controversy around the price updates a few years ago after cPanel was bought out buy a large VC firm that put me off being a total advocate. Very good software however.

The Best Hosting Platform for SME Business

Comentarios: It is very easy to use. One of the most popular and Old product that gets regular updates. However if Cpanel can manage keep the prices low, no one will be able to come close to it.

Ease of use, Loads of feature and manageability. Regular updates that we get from cPanel directly are very important for us.

Contras:

Bit costly for small customers when it comes to India Market. There are alternative hosting too that are now gaining popularity due to regular increase in cost price and INR-$ price fluctuation

Comentarios: I found cPanel and WHM to be worth time and money.I recommend anybody who is diving in cloud technologies to try.

May be should support more of server sided types of programing .

Easy Self-Serve Site Management

Comentarios: I like cPanel. It's familiarity and ease of use means that nearly every web host I use is a matter of choosing based on service and pricing rather than ease-of-use.

Puntos a favor:

With a few odd exceptions, most things are relatively easy to find within cPanel. Because cPanel is so prevalent in web hosting, learning how to use it once means you can re-use the same skills and knowledge even when moving to many other hosts. Most functionality is straightforward enough that someone with minimal knowledge can find their wat around and make changes if needed.

Contras:

Some web hosts still use outdated versions of cPanel which are harder to navigate and use. It would be nice if cPanel somehow operated like cloud software where all hosts are automatically using the most up-to-date version. Not sure if that's technically feasible. From the handful of web hosts I've used, I've noticed that often there is functionality in cPanel that is duplicated outside in the web hosts own interface, and as a result changes made to some aspects of a hosting service done within cPanel don't actually do anything. This is frustrating and usually results in a call to my hosts tech support unless the solution is obvious. I wish that those duplicated functions in cPanel would just redirect me to the right place. Some of the language in the platform can be ambiguious, although that said, I'm not a professional dev - just a hobbyist so perhaps with more background knowledge that wouldn't be an issue.

Run your own hosting business like a pro

Comentarios: WHM by cPanel is a must-have if you are running your hosting business. It seamlessly integrates with other services providing you with an extremely easy to use interface while also providing exceptional service to your clients.

With WHM it is so easy to create a new cPanel account for your customers. Just with the press of a few buttons, they get their username and password which is assigned to their purchased hosting package. The best part is that this can also be automated so you won't be losing time to some boring tasks like clicking through cluttered UI. WHM also allows you to monitor your whole server and see load and if there are some errors so you can quickly fix them. There are lots of quick easy fix remediation available which is quite handy when you host a lot of websites and some go down because of misconfiguration error. Taking backup of the whole server is no longer a tedious task. With just a few clicks you can take a backup or restore server or just client's websites to the previous state if something goes wrong.

Contras:

There are no many cons with WHM. If you chose WHM you are good to go with your hosting business. You won't regret it. But be prepared that it is not easy to setup. The average person could have some problems with the initial setup of WHM but once it is configured properly there should be no problems. The only problems I experienced are AutoSSL which fails to provision SSL to domains who are pointing to Cloudflare or similar services.

A Perfect Platform To Sell & Manage Your Hosting

Its Perfect Platform to manage and sell your hosting to your clients without having much knowledge of server. You can easily create individual accounts and hosting packages with custom configuration. you can also block any hosting acount from whm panel or you can edit package configuration very easily

Contras:

actually i dont find any issue with whm panel by cpanel, its very easy to use. only they have to launch official mobile application to manage this WHM panel services.

I'd be lost without you WHM

Comentarios: running this software for twelves years over at my company, it makes every step of not only running your own website easy you can then make money selling sites and domains to others with as little as 20 us a month depending on the company you are with

We love all of it easy to use lots of self help doc and even pop up tips on damn near everything you have a question for. When that fail there tech support is by far the best i have dealt with in owning my company in the course of 16 years

Contras:

Not a damn thing keep doing what you are doing team WHM!

Where do I begin? It's no wonder WHM is the leader in the industry. It packs so many features that it makes virtually impossible for you to move to another server management tool. You can manage and install anything in your server using it.

Contras:

The recent price increase was a bit of a hit on everyone, specially if you have dozens of servers to manage.

WHM is the definitive source for Apache web server access and maintenance.

Comentarios: Easy of management of the Apache Webserver

Easy of use, secure, patched & maintained are just a few words that sum up this software. Running a production level Apache Webserver without WHM is not something that anyone wants to do. It's graphical interface is intuitive and well documented.

Contras:

Some areas that drive me craze about WHM is NOT being informed when updates are going to happen and the lake of a good, reliable mobile application.
