I have used it extensively and the most valued feature for me is the fanout messages, i.e sending the same message to multiple consumers(sqs queues) so changes in the system can be propagated to the workload.

> **Puntos en contra**: The biggest con I have with SNS is that there is no way to store the sent messages, making it costly and hard to implement when something goes wrong and you need to resend all the previous messages. Probably it's because its not the purpose of the tool but usually I have hit this issue when choosing SNS as an event source.

In our usecase, we used it for push notifications to via emails mainly to the audience we intent to send. Configuration and setting up takes a couple of minutes.

> **Puntos en contra**: Not too much customization provided because it is mainly managed by AWS. Service Documentation can be improved with more in-detail information, including integrations with other services just for reference.
> 
> It is a very simple service as the name says but makes the solution more reliable which lets you send/track alerts and notifications, which can be integrated with other AWS services too making it more robust and useful.
