Basalmiq for wireframes creation
Comentarios: I used Basalmiq to create wireframes, mock-ups and UI prototypes. It offers a simplified, low-fidelity sketching style, which allows me to quickly capture and communicate my design ideas.
Puntos a favor:
Balsamiq's focus on low-fidelity wireframes allows for rapid iteration and feedback gathering. It encourages a collaborative and agile design process, enabling teams to iterate on ideas and make quick adjustments before moving on to high-fidelity designs.
Contras:
However, it should be noted that Balsamiq's sketchy, low-fidelity style, which I personally dislike for its simplicity, can also be seen as a limitation for those who need more polished and faithful designs.effectively to your needs.

Prototyping for all
Comentarios: I love it. It's quick, simple, and expressive, the extensive primitives are very helpful, and the more effort you put in the better it gets. It's also incredibly useful to be able to share a prototype as a website and get comments.
Puntos a favor:
1. Generating interactive prototypes incredibly quickly, thanks to a very small learning curve and a reasonably intuitive interface. 2. With a little extra effort, generating high-fidelity prototypes that pretty much match anything other (much) more expensive and complex packages can do. 3. Modifying prototypes on the fly in brainstorming meetings. 4. Openly sharing focused prototypes with others in a few clicks. 5. Dynamically incorporating Balsamiq slides into Miro boards.
Contras:
As the creator, when a prototype gets moderately complex, it's easy to get a bit lost as there is no overall graph of the site you have created. You can add a site map as a slide, but it just lists the pages with no way to see the link structure.
Easy Wireframe Utility
Comentarios: I would say ease of use. It's pretty quick to pick up without much ado.
Puntos a favor:
The ease of use and simplistic approach to creating prototypes with very low-fidelity is cool for me.
Contras:
Sure there is a handful of room for improvement but for the purposes I use it for in combination with other tools, I think there's not much to not like about it.
Simple and easy tool for creating low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes
Comentarios: Overall, I love the simplicity and intuitiveness of this tool. If you are looking for a product to quickly put together a wireframe or sketch (based on rough ideas) for feedbacks or approvals, then this can be a great option for you.
Puntos a favor:
I have used Balsamiq for more than 3+ years to create lo-fi wireframes for mobile and web applications. What I love the most about Balsamiq is that it follows UI/UX industry standards, so you can easily use their pre-built templates or icon library without making much changes. It helps you create detailed wireframes in a very short interval of time. I like the ability to export the wireframe designs in a .pdf or .png format. If you are using Balsamiq cloud app on your browser, then you can collaborate with other team members on the same wireframe in real time. This is a very useful feature, especially in those projects, where there are multiple design team members involved. It helps you in incorporating their feedback and comments without much back-and-forth.
Contras:
What I disliked about Balsamiq is that the exported .pdf file doesn't have very good resolution. Also, if you need a tool for hi-fi designs or interactive prototyping, then this may not be the best option. There are better products/tools available in the market.
The best software for UX processes
Comentarios: Very positive. Has sped up workflows and iterations within processes massively.
Puntos a favor:
I like the limitations of this software. The stripped back and lack of styling allows me to focus my time only on UX. Previously, I have had issues where doing UX in XD or Sketch the client would be trying to make too many visual considerations. Since moving to Balsamiq this has streamlined communications to focusing on interaction points, hierarchy and best practices.
Contras:
Not a con, but being able to assign labels for titles (H1, H2, H3 etc) would really help improve integration with CRO and SEO specialists. Also being able to have titles with multiple lines of text. A larger and more consistent base of templates would be beneficial - i.e. landing pages, ecomm, brochure sites. Currently there's a lot of app based and molecule based templates and I don't utilise any of these.
Balsamiq review
Comentarios: I like Balsamiq because it lets me wireframe quickly and easily, has an easy-to-use design, and lets me work with other people. Some people might think that its simplicity makes it hard to use for more complex designs, but it's still a popular choice for fast prototyping and ideation in many design projects.
Puntos a favor:
Balsamiq's best features are its quick prototyping with an easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface, its ability to help people work together with real-time edits, and its low cost. Users of all skill levels can quickly learn how to use it because it has wireframes that look like sketches, a lot of different uses, and seamless interaction. Respondent customer service makes the experience better for users.
Contras:
Some users find that Balsamiq's approach to high-detail design work is limited by the fact that it is meant to be easy and low-fidelity. Its sketch-like look might be a problem for projects that need more polished images, but it works well for early-stage prototyping. Also, some complicated projects might not have access to the more advanced design features that come with other tools.
Reliable - a must tool for software designers and business analysts
Comentarios: We used this product for 2 years to design and create a project from scratch. We used the notes features to take real time infos from the sessions with the client. Permit nice output designs and collaborative work ( we worked like 8 people to the same project, remotely).
Puntos a favor:
Nice design options, nice graphic boards to represent the outputs. A lot of features to offer and a stable piece of software.
Contras:
Quite low speed some time, quite difficult to retrieve a project using browser link, functional but low speed.
Simple, No non-sense wireframing tool
Comentarios: Overall, when I started using it at my first job, it gave a great medium for me to express my ideas on design
Puntos a favor:
I loved the simplicity and drag-and-drop features for even a noob to get started and create phone and web app layouts. No skills needed!
Contras:
It is not as sophisticated as other tools these days, but that's what you get for this price.
Easy but to expensive for the features
Comentarios: Easy to start using, but when we looked at other solutions we move away from it. It's a bit dated nowadays
Puntos a favor:
Easy to use and fast to do things, easy to manage different projects in separate files
Contras:
Expensive compared to competitors. Very crude components. A bit of a hassle to do prototypes.

Balsamiq makes quick mockups easy
Comentarios: Very positive. The company is great, the tool is very helpful
Puntos a favor:
I'm not a "visual" thinker, but Balsamiq makes it easy to put ideas into a visual format to share with various teams.
Contras:
The initial learning curve was a little steep for someone like me without a design background. But even so, it is much easier than alternatives! Much simpler. The fact that the desktop and cloud versions are completely separate isn't ideal.
nice too create app screens
Comentarios: so so
Puntos a favor:
easy to use, create screens for app or destop. without color by adding ready-made elements it's nice experience to create drawing of potenical app
Contras:
too simple tool, lack of interaction, presenting screens, it's not good tool to test on human
A long time ago, we used to be friends...
Comentarios: Balsamiq used to be a tool that I used daily, both for personal and professional projects. By failing to adapt its UX to the modern world, Balsamiq not only lost me as a user, but let other great tools take its place as the go-to tool for easy and fast wireframing and prototyping.
Puntos a favor:
Balsamiq used to be the most user-friendly and easy-to-use wireframing tool on the market. It's still good, with the actual wireframing tool being very intuitive and the component library, though a bit outdated, providing most of what you'll need to put those ideas on a canvas.
Contras:
If the actual tool is still pretty usable, Balsamiq has not aged well regarding everything that's around it. The global UX, from signup, to actually getting to the designer or, if you're of the daring kind, trying to use the offline app, is an experience straight from the early 2000's. It "works", but that's all it does, and gives you the feeling of a tool that's way past its era of relevance.
Very ideal for wireframe creation in software development teams
Comentarios: I still recommend this tool for the team who likes a tool for managing wireframes and prototypes. It gives the vital requirement for a mockup.
Puntos a favor:
1. Simple and classic look - Balsamiq gives an old-school feels to its components which I really like. It is simple and easy to blend to the documents/presentation you can add it into. 2. Drag and drop functionality - This tool is very easy to understand and manage. Training for this tool will not take long 3. Many components to choose from - Buttons, dropdowns, text fields, and more. From simple to up to date components, you can find them here. 4. Easy to manage tool 5. Great for presentation too 6. Output is comprehensive for the whole team of any role - Because it is simple and classic, all team members can appreciate it too: developer/QA/designer
Contras:
1. I think that the fact that it is too plain, it can limit the user from expressing what he/she likes the prototype to become. 2. The interactions/simulations with the components in Balsamiq is too limited 3. Collaboration for instant feedback is a limitation here
Balsamiq Mockups, the most incredible tool for your UI/UX designs
Comentarios: I just love using Balsamiq! It makes it really easy and fast to build your mockups. I have use it for both desktop and mobile apps with very good results. Clients usually love its friendly appearance. Since the project can be exported as an interactive PDF (if you programmed any interactions), you can show your clients a simulation of the UX and they just love that. Anyone can program this interactions using the software, you do not require any previous experience, it is just a matter of connecting slides, similar to programing a Power Point presentation. 100% recommended.
Puntos a favor:
I absolutely adore this tool and have done it for more than five years now. I discover it when I was working as an intern at Intel, and I just fell in love with it. Have use it ever since for a lot of projects that involve interface and user experience design. It is the most intuitive tool, extremely simple but also extremely efficient. It takes almost no time to understand how to use it, it is as simple as dragging and dropping elements from a wide menu to your canvas and start arranging them the way you want your interface to look like. It has a lot of elements to build your design and you can "program" them so that you can simulate user interactions. It makes it so easy to build your mockups and on top of that it is extremely fun to use. If you don´t believe me, try it, you can download a free 30 days trail version. It is available both as a desktop app and online, which is a great option if you are working with a team and multiple people need to access to the files. You can convert it to a PDF version once you are done with the project, which makes it really easy to show it to your customers, peers, clients, etc.
Contras:
I know is going to sound like a lie, but I honestly don´t have any complains about this software. If I had to name one, I guess it would be the price, but is not really that expensive and it is totally worth it.
Balsamiq review
Puntos a favor:
I am using Balsamiq tool in order to illustrate and representing every single page of my web applications. I am sketching several web components (e.g., buttons, inputs, labels, graphs, links, etc.) for each available page. I am describing events for each action (e.g., page navigation).
Contras:
Despite Balsamiq interesting functionalities, its user interface could be improved by understanding other sketching tools.

Balsamiq speeds up your wireframing work
Puntos a favor:
The main pro of Balsamiq is that is very simple to use. The set of pre made object is one of the main core features, with those components you can quickly create a wireframe without all the overhead of creating the basic components
Contras:
The main cons consists in the fact that Balsamiq is build with the old flash technology. Another cons is that at the moment there are no way to automatically sync the wireframe with online prototyping tool like Marvel of Invision
Would never start a mockup without it
Comentarios: A beautifully created tool that is a pleasure to use.
Puntos a favor:
It doesn't matter whether it is a web site or a full blow desktop or mobile app, Balsamiq will make it as quick and simple as can be. One of the things that Balsamiq really shines at is that a newbie can start using it immediately as it has a well thought out userinterface. But then dig deeper under the service, and you'll find all sorts of powerful features that allow even the most complex mockup to be created with ease. I also love the look of the created mockups. Unlike some tools that try to create photorealistic versions of your design, Balsamiq focuses more on creating a proper wireframe mockup (although other options are avialable) and there actually look darned cool and are very presentable.
Contras:
What's not to like. Balsamiq does exactly what it claims to do and it does it beautifully. I've used it for years and I honestly can't think of any times when I thought it was lacking.
Essential for communicating website and mobile layouts
Comentarios: Balsamiq is the best way to communicate complicated ideas with clients.
Puntos a favor:
For anything of any complexity, I love using Balsamiq to quickly wireframe what a website, form, mobile app, or component. By keeping with the 'sketch' look, clients don't get sidetracked with imagery, or colors, or fonts - instead they focus on the layout and functionality of the website or app. I love creating navigational PDFs for clients with this tool.
Contras:
Sometimes it can be hard to find the right icon - there's got to be some way to search and find them.
Sketches in a very simple and fast way.
Comentarios: My experience with Balsamiq has been quite good, it helps me to make sketches, wireframes in a very fast, simple way, speeding up the delivery time of the projects, besides that they can be shared immediately thanks to their export methods, as well I can export them directly to a disk in the cloud and share it with the client quickly.
Puntos a favor:
There are several reasons why I like balsamiq, it is a tool with a very low learning curve, quite intuitive, and does not need any type of download since it is hosted in the cloud so it is accessible from any device, it has a very useful autosave system that helps you not miss the progress in the project, is excellent for collaborative projects because it allows to invite colleagues or other people, also has a desktop version, supports various forms of export in different formats, from pdf, even images like jpg.
Contras:
What I like the least about balsamiq is its interface, it is something old fashioned, besides that they can add a greater variety of objects to integrate in wireframes, sketches, mockups, etc. Another thing that I do not like is that when it comes to overlapping objects on each other very small, it can be quite a challenge, it would be nice if you could edit the position of the object as in web development, with a z-index.
Amazing tool for PM's and Dev
Comentarios: Balsamiq remains an extremely simple and easy to use tool for wireframing - infact it is the default choice of a bunch of product managers, specially at the beginning of their career. The ease allows you to ship out basic wireframes at an amazing pace. Because of this reason it strongly fits into the early stage startup culture. I have personally developed the first version of web apps, mobile apps on balsamiq and never has my dev team complained. It gets a bit tricky to use this extensively at an evolved product stage but nevertheless the tool works and works just fine.
Puntos a favor:
Simplicity. Anyone, literally anyone can use Balsamiq. The web demo is simple and then all the leading dev and business tools have a balsamiq app - be it Google for Work, Confluence.
Contras:
Balsamiq - is a great skeleton wireframing tool and that remains its biggest limitation. It leaves a lot to be desired. Especially the moments when the PM's want to add colors and make the exact replica designs, Balsamiq might not be the best thing to use. + The license fees for a tool which allows only this feels a bit on the higher side.
Create Wireframes easily
Puntos a favor:
Best place yo create rough wireframes for software development
Contras:
Looks childish client not able to understand this very clearly
Good little tool to refine rough ideas for screen designs
Comentarios: We use this tool to help product managers and UX designers with getting rough wireframes at the start of a project to facilitate brainstorming.
Puntos a favor:
Balsamiq strikes a good balance between simplicity and features. It manages to have enough components to prototype your ideas quickly without getting too bogged down by endless customizability. The end result is getting your project off the ground faster, which is definitely worth it.
Contras:
Honestly not a lot, as long as you understand the context in which this software should be used. It isn't supposed to be a detailed UI mockup tool, there are other much more elaborate software packages for that. This is something that should be used by a product manager or UX person very early to set up quick wireframes.
Great for online tutorial creators, outdated for design and prototyping
Comentarios: I've seen many Udemy courses using this as a teaching platform, and for that application it is great. For modern designers, you should look someplace else for prototyping and outlining your next idea
Puntos a favor:
- Great for explanation videos or tutorials - Slide-show style format makes it easy to present complex topics in a simple way - Lots of templates for mobile / web interfaces to create prototypes
Contras:
- Modern design is moving towards working in apps like Sketch, where you can outline, design, prototype, and even generate CSS in a single place. Balsamiq used to be designers' go-to tool, but there are far better options available now. - You can outline your ideas here, but you're just going to have to recreate them in another app anyway
A no-frills mock-up platform
Comentarios: It served its purpose nicely, and was a big help for our small business to manage software development. It may not be the most comprehensive, but it will certainly get the job done.
Puntos a favor:
I used this software in my previous job to design new service features for our content management products. Balsamiq was useful in being able to very quickly sketch out and edit mock-ups and then share them with our development team. I liked the visual style they employed (made to look like hand-drawn sketches), and the palette of components, including smart phone screens, which were very nice when doing mobile compatibility layouts.
Contras:
The software could be slow at times, and it lacked certain design I would have otherwise expected to find in a standard mock-up program. I would suggest looking at the hosted version instead of downloading.
