Sobre MediaValet
MediaValet ayuda a los equipos de marketing y creativos a administrar, colaborar y distribuir con facilidad sus activos de marketing, gráficos y contenido.
Easy of use, rapid exchanging of files, images and documents in general. Interaction at all times with all my contacts.
Cost is a bit of a hindrance - but not certainly enough of one to cause us to look elsewhere. I think the ability for collaboration overrides this con, but it is pricey.

Puntos a favor:
Es una herramienta estupenda para trabajar, en especial su interfaz.
Contras:
En realidad todo me ha gustado hasta ahora.
Ayuda Muchisimo
Puntos a favor:

Puntos a favor:

Great for content management
Puntos a favor:
Clean UI with an easy search function. The built in AI function categorizes images based on the image itself and not user inputted descriptions.
Contras:
As of now, there are no cons that have stood out to me as a end user.

D.A.M.'s for Multiple Branded Companies
Comentarios: Has been great overall, I have been able to setup individual public portals for separate brands and customers, so that the assets are available to the target audiences.
Puntos a favor:
Easy to set up, very intuitive. Easy to train users. Easy to setup administrative policies for vendors and internal users, so that only the pertinent assets are available to the individuals.
Contras:
The programming doesn't like hyphens in part numbers. Our company utilizes hyphens in the part number, and when searching, the returns do not always show all of the assets.
Fort Lewis College's experience with MediaValet
Comentarios: I was frustrated to not be able to select photos in bulk until the HotDAM released.
Puntos a favor:
The search capabilities are pretty good.
Contras:
Overall layout, I wish it was more similar to Photoshelter.

Almost Perfect DAM
Comentarios: Overall, we've been happy with MediaValet for the archival needs of our assets. The use of the platform for sales and marketing efforts could be improved.
Puntos a favor:
So many things to like: Solid, reliable storage, methods of tagging and categorizing, ease of searching and filtering for assets, versioning, approvals, reports, etc. The entire process is very easy yet very thorough.
Contras:
I think the interface is a bit stiff. Some of MediaValet's competitors have a more inviting user experience. We've also had some people on our team have a difficult time searching for assets. And, streaming playback has frequently been an issue. One of the reasons we chose MediaValet was because of the CDN capabilities that would allow us to create Client Portals that can be used during our sales presentations as well as by clients on their own. When playback stalls or doesn't begin at all, this is a big hinderance to doing business for us.

A fantastic tool for sharing and collaborating efficiently!
Comentarios: MediaValet has allowed our organization to streamline our design, content creation, and media processes. We save so much time sharing and creating assets, and collecting assets from contractors or collaborators is a breeze! It has been great to have all our materials in one place that is off our organization servers.
Puntos a favor:
The ease of access for all users, internal and external to our organization. The multiple options for accessing and sharing files help us customize the experience for each client and project. I appreciate that the MediaValet team is always innovating new features to support the product and end users.
Contras:
I wish the search features were more advanced and customizable. Ideally, it would be great to be able to search for assets using images. The categories are great if you have the knowledge of when or for what the asset was created.

Good product that needs minor refinements to make it a great product
Comentarios: Overall I like Media Valet more than some others I have used. I think it could use a refreshed user interface that is more user friendly for non-technical users.
Puntos a favor:
The thing that attracted me to MediaValet was the file structure interface for categorizing files. Very similar to a computer file structure which added some familurarity.
Contras:
Some features like sharing with lightboxes and galleries can get a little confusing as well as making files available to non users.

One Year of MediaValet
Comentarios: Overall, it has been good. I'd like to see more attention paid to the work flow.
Puntos a favor:
The file tree on the left side and the unlimited users.
Contras:
The root folder in the file tree should show if there are folders under it rather than showing that it is empty. This consistently confuses people. It should be easier to upload a new version of an asset without the check-out / check-in process. The PDF view seems to have a lower resolution. I would like to be able to download a list of all the assets to a CSV file that I can manage the attributes for and reupload to update the database.

Cape Breton University very happy with MediaValet!
Comentarios: Onboarding has been so easy, reps are great to work with!
Puntos a favor:
Easy to use, visually pleasing, the ability to add and remove contributors is simple.
Contras:
N/A, very happy. Thus far our experience with the company has been incredibly positive and I'm so grateful we moved in this direction for our DAM.
Best DAM by Far
Comentarios: My overall experience is amazing. This is the best platform and really easy for all users
Puntos a favor:
What don't I like! This is by far one of the best DAMs! I love the ability to easily create categories, folders, the ability to assign photos to multiple categories. Portals are amazing. I love the abitity to download image sizes directly from the platform and save sizes regularly used
Contras:
I wish there was a way to directly import from other photo librarys; drop box, google drive. I also wish portals could include categories like the regular folders do. I also wish there was a better mobile suite.

Easily Searchable Digital Assets
Comentarios: Customer service is excellent. On-boarding is very detailed, and they make sure that you have the knowledge needed for a successful integration. Great product that saves us so much time when searching through our photos.
Puntos a favor:
MediaValet makes it easy to make our photo and video assets available to everyone at our organization. It is easily searchable by keywords, so people can find what they need on their own.
Contras:
When there are categories under other categories, when people click on the main category, there are no assets shown in the window. They have to click on the sub-categories below the main category. Instead of a blank window (which leads people to think there are no assets in that category), it should bring up a clickable list of subcategories.
MediaValet Review
Puntos a favor:
The search function of MediaValet is the best of any other solution I've seen. It can automatically detect colours, text and items in an asset making metadata management and searching easier.
Contras:
The branded portals are not as robust as the dam itself. I would like to be able to have sections within sections on a brand portal.
Vice President
Comentarios: We refer to the mediavalet quite frequently for our digital marketing and Bullfrog campains
Puntos a favor:
That there is a place where materials are saved for easy access
Contras:
There is not a higher frequency of new material added. Photos and videos
A little comment
Puntos a favor:
The images have high quality and it is easy an quick to down them
Contras:
I do not still know.⁸ Could be that I didn't try enough
Hot DAM! Media Valet is worth checking out if you're looking for one.
Puntos a favor:
Ease of use and shareability. The search function is good
Contras:
I wish it could sync from a natively hosted drive somewhere
i like it
Comentarios: we're using it to help store and share images
Puntos a favor:
i like the search functionality and the ability to tag, add one image to multiple categories, etc
Contras:
I really want to have access to mobile uploads
Highly User-Friendly Library for Managing Images and Video
Comentarios: The fundamental problem we have solved is categorization and easily-accessible storage of a vast number of images of our products and capabilities coming in from a large range of sources literally around the world. A picture of a valve taken by a service person in the field in Mozambique can now be identified, categorized, described, and stored so that a senior VP in Edmonton can find it among a selection of other valve pictures, and download it for use in their presentation. Prior to MediaValet, the filing system for our 42,000-plus images was scattered among several document filing systems in several platforms across three corporations - and most often on local laptops of individuals who needed to make sure they could find what they wanted when they wanted it.
Puntos a favor:
The most attractive features of MediaValet is the ease of use by anyone who wants to find a picture or video among thousands in our library. The keyword-driven search engine is the best feature of this software - the fact that it will instantly call up all images related to any word typed into the search engine makes the search process logical. The system does not need to deliver the exact photo - even a vague keyword will deliver a selection of pictures from which the user can readily pick out they need. Learning how to use it, as a user, is dead easy. Learning how to use it as a contributor requires about half an hour of training - which anyone can do. Learning how to perfect it can be left to enthusiastic detail-oriented librarian types in the organization who love the beauty of being able to fully (and I mean fully) categorize every aspect of a picture or video uploaded to MediaValet. It is intuitive and useful to ALL levels of prospective users. As a result - integration with our existing business processes was easy - but more importantly, logical and seen as an enhancement rather than "another software thing we have to learn".
Contras:
There is only one thing about MediaValet that needs to be changed. An example is the best way to illustrate: If you take a picture of a piece of equipment using your iPhone, that image file is given a title by your iPhone's software - typically something like "IMG_0341.jpg". When taking that image to upload to MediaValet, it is necessary to change the file name to something meaningful to people in the organization using a commonly-understood naming convention that makes the filename descriptive of what is in the image. This process is easily taught and understood. What MediaValet needs to address is what happens when that image is selected and downloaded for use. The filename assigned to it upon upload to MediaValet REVERTS to the original filename once downloaded. So, even though you have renamed the picture "Stream-Flo_Wellhead_Exxon.jpg", once you download it, it reverts to "IMG_0341.jpg". If you are absorbed in the process of downloading several images, there is no longer any way to identify what's in each of those pictures once they are downloaded. I think once this challenge is addressed by MediaValet, the system will be darn near perfect. The way we address this now is to advise users that when they are downloading pictures, they need to write down something from the image description next to the file name so that they can identify it after download.
Mediavalet: The good and the not quite as good
Comentarios: 99.9% satisfied. We spent alot of time testing asset management softwares. We tried to break them and make them mess up on purpose to find their shortcomings. As we know shortcomings are time and energy draining. In working with MediaValet we tried to break it and it was difficult and mostly unsuccessful (which is a good thing). MediaValet is a solid digital asset management system.
Puntos a favor:
Cognitive metadata is a game changer. It is surprisingly accurate and you don't have to enter keywords if you don't want to because Cognitive Metadata creates some for you. Making different categories and groups of images is useful when needing to send sets of commonly used images. And making lightboxes is great for sharing or making personally used collections.
Contras:
Not being able to create a Lightbox on the fly is slightly annoying. You have to create it first, then search and select images for a Lightbox. It would be nice to be able to search and create a lightbox from the selected images instead.
Productivity made easy
Puntos a favor:
Assets archiving and sharing make the work flow a lot more productive.
Contras:
Having to login too often is annoying, when you are super busy and that Login window pops up, it doesn't help.
Global brand asset library is superior
Puntos a favor:
All our global brand assets are kept with MediaValet for use across more than 30+ markets around the world. It’s the best asset library that I’ve ever worked with, easily accessible via keywords, languages and file types.
Contras:
Seriously there isn’t anything I don’t like about the software. It works for what I require it for:-)

Puntos a favor:
It keeps all the documents I need organized.
Contras:
Need to see the title of documents fully, without clicking on the document.
Great but could use a few tweaks
Comentarios: Its been good.
Puntos a favor:
It's a beautiful product. Visually amazing.
Contras:
When I am uploading large amounts of photos. More than 20 at a time. I really dislike that the thumbnails are sooooooo small. If they could be larger it would be helpful for adding metadata. Since they are so small I have to have another window open to be able to see the image Im adding metadata to.

The MediaValet DAM has allowed us to easily archive, organize, and share our library of images.
Comentarios: Dramatic improvements in accessibility and productivity for our marketing department.
Puntos a favor:
Knowing our images are secure, searchable, and easily accessible from anywhere in the world. Plus, MediaValet's customer service is excellent and their team was incredibly helpful and supportive during the transfer of our files into the Digital Asset Management system.
Contras:
Certain tweaks for easier usability will be helpful. Looking forward to an option to easily share a public lightbox link rather than sending to each unregistered user directly via email.
