By far the best channel manager and PMS for the money!
Comentarios: Excellent! I'm so glad I found it, it has really solved all my problems and for the price, it is comparable in cost to many of the other sites and less expensive than quite a few of them.

OwnerRez works really great. It's SO robust and has so many features! I'm very pleased with it - I've looked at a dozen different systems and did a test run of about 4 of them. None could do what OwnerRez does - it allowed me to do several functions I was unable to do in the other systems. And a HUGE PLUS: the customer support is amazing. They reply very quickly (business hours) and are extremely helpful.
Contras:
It takes quite a bit of time to get set up in the beginning - but that is going to be the case with EVERY good PMS or channel manager. Once you get it set up, it's a breeze to use. Just know and expect to put some time at the beginning.

Comentarios: Every step of the way has been great. Yes, there is some work on the front end, but that depends on how fully you want to get into all that OR can do for you. We feel the work has been well worth it and continue to expand on how heavily we lean on OR to do the work for us! We are fans!!

OR has thought of everything!! We represent about 300 properties and the amount of time OR has saved us, or freed up for us to spend on more meaningful work is unbelievable. We are so much better at our job and can offer our hosts so much more than ever before. If there is an issue, emailing the Help Desk is so easy, they respond in a very reasonable time and keep you up to date if the answer takes some time to dig into. OR never disappoints.
Contras:
Honestly, we cannot think of anything to put in this category.

Difficult onboarding
Comentarios: Not good. It appears to be a powerful system but zero training and support make it a nightmare. I had to plead for help for a 30 minute call because of problems. Both sessions lasted longer because it even took staff that long to help with 1 or 2 things, Not getting to all my questions. The person was helpful but this stuff takes time to implement. I started w 2 houses and have 2 more. One would think they would want to make sure i have a good experience to get more sales.

Onboarding is pretty much non existent. Would have eliminated 5 double bookings and days of waiting for answers if only they took 1 or 2 30 minute sessions for a call. Most of time, you email with a problem and wait. Sometimes for 24 hours before getting a response.

Comentarios: Overall Owner Rez has been very helpful in running our short term vacation rental business. Even when we only had one property, Owner Rez was invaluable in helping us to keep all of our calendars synced in real time in all the platforms we use. It has also saved time by automating much of the reservation process and by providing useful reports.

Comentarios: Customer service is exceptional. When I have a question I get an answer within a day, and they'll follow up again a few days later to make sure all is good. The have webinars often as well for extra help and information.

Once you get a feel and understanding for how OwnerRez is set up (the different pieces) I find it very intuitive and easy to use. Easy to make adjustments and customize surcharges/discounts for each home. Integrates well with other critical software systems.
Contras:
Owner statement formats and accounting - not very robust. Plenty of work arounds available.
Peace of Mind at Dragonhead Retreat
Comentarios: Just wish I had found OwnerRez in my first year of having vacation rentals. Their common sense, timely tools and communiques to inquiries, booked guests, etc means I can tend to my other work, home, family... life.

I tried other products, wasting time, energy & $. Finding OwnerRez was such a relief. I can tell it was designed & implemented by professionals who had "been there/done that" as it is so logical. The sample tools, policies, communiques, etc were well thought out and easy to adjust to my use.
Contras:
Not yet. I ask for help when I can't figure something out and OR reps reply quickly. They follow-up, to ensure any issue is ironed out.

Because it's so robust, it can be overwhelming to get started. But their videos, and more importantly, customer service is second to none. A rep spent hours with me getting things set up in the beginning, and I will never forget how much I appreciated and valued that help.

Comentarios: OwnerRez is amazing! I own a small rental and I have extra challenges due to living with a disability, and I have always received the most helpful support. A lot of other companies would place me on a low tier for support due to the volume of our business. But I have a high standard for my business, no matter how small (we’re rated the Most Hospitable Host in our province), and they’ve helped me keep it up. They have a ton of support articles, always keep us in the loop with their planned updates, listen to all our ideas for future development, and they make us feel like part of the team. I rave about them all the time to my fellow hosts.

A loooong list of pros. - Their system is thorough & detailed (do give yourself time for the learning curve) - Everything can be customized and even overridden for specific bookings if you want- Reliable, top of the line API connections with pretty much any booking platform- Couldn’t have been easier to add their widget to my wordpress site for direct bookings- Easy to share the calendar with my cleaners & manage booking windows- Best customer service. Seriously.
Contras:
My cons list gets smaller every month with every update OwnerRez puts out. But here are the challenging parts of the software at this point in time:- Messaging is a bit tricky to master, as system messages & custom templates are in different sections. No ability to customize message templates ahead of time for individual guests, so if I want to add a personal note to a scheduled message I have to set myself an alarm to do it manually right before it’s scheduled. - No ability to create single-use discount codesYou do have to pay close attention when setting things up, as there are a LOT of settings and it’s easy to get one wrong. But this isn’t a con, just a heads up. A huge part of OwnerRez’s magic is how much customization they can handle.
3 years and going strong with OR
Comentarios: Overall, I've been very happy with OwnerRez and don't see myself shifting any time soon. I look forward to continuing to grow with and learn more about OR and everything it has to offer.

I love the reporting functionality of OR and probably what I use most. I also really find the support to be helpful and the library of help topics is second to none and easy to follow even for someone that doesn't consider herself very "tech savvy."
Contras:
I find all of the features very overwhelming at times and the learning curve is definitely a little steep. But once you "get" it, it's brilliant and you move on.

Sophisticated & Comprehensive PMS, perfect for small operators

The product is very well designed and built. I'm coming from another PMS to OR and I'm constantly delighted by the features I didn't have before. Including things I didn't know I needed which will now drive how I manage my business. The founders built the product from the ground up as users so they literally thought of everything. It's impressive. Everything works too. I've heard people say the set up is difficult so I was expecting bugs and complications but I didn't encounter any. It's only complicated in that it's so thorough which I see as a pro not a con. It's early days because I've only just signed up but I feel very confident with everything I've configured. The customer service has been a stand out feature too. I've had Suzee helping me every step of the way and she's been answering all my questions thoroughly and has significantly expedited my setup process. Very impressed by that, it feels like OR have invested wisely here and care a lot about their customers. 10/10 so far.
Contras:
There's always things that can be improved about software but I'm too early in the journey to have noticed anything significant. OR is at least 2 years ahead of the PMS I just left, might not be as pretty but I'll take functionality over glamor any day.

Always felt like we had a 'lifeline' we could call while migrating our data from another existing Owner Rez client.

This isn't a con for us but I think it would be somewhat difficult if you were not tech-savvy to a certain degree. Luckily, OwnerRez will set up your listings if you need help.
User-friendly, intuitive, and the BEST customer support
Comentarios: When I started in this business, I managed 10 properties and did everything by hand with spreadsheets. I communicated with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] for weeks before making the leap to purchase the software and web hosting. I remember being so afraid to leave what I knew and start with something unfamiliar, even though creating month-end statements were taking up a whole day and organizing each day took way more time than it should. I definitely lost sleep over how to move forward. I also remember telling [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] that if this works, I'll yell my satisfaction from the rooftops! Here I am, on the rooftops.

The biggest positive is the quick and responsive customer support. I often don't have time to go through the forum to see if the answer already exists and will shoot an email over to the help desk. I usually get a reply within an hour or two. If there is an article that will help, they send that too. My second favorite is the ribbon calendar that I can color code as I need. It is easy to read in the fly which is how I operate on most days. The third favorite thing I use is the daily report so I can easily print the report on the way out the door and have all I need at a glance. Add to these the other helpful components that are really TNTM ("too numerous to mention") such as charts, comparisons, easy listing adjustments, and other tools I will probably never learn to use.... this software is really packed full of what each user needs for their own purposes.
Contras:
There isn't anything I like least - although there are tasks of my job that are less appealing than others, such as assigning rates. I am learning how to grasp some of the larger concepts in this area but the software "makes sense" in how the different components of pricing is deployed - rates, seasons, discounts, etc.... Once one creates the greater goals, implementation becomes intuitive. As mentioned before, I have been very fortunate to have help from the developers on how to implement pricing despite the tediousness of the task.
The most valuable resource I have in vacation rental management
Comentarios: Exceptional - the videos and tutorials were helpful in setting up and becoming initially familiar with the software. The customer support team filled in the blanks anywhere I got stuck or lost. I became well versed in how to work all aspects of the software fairly quickly which is a testament to its user-friendly interfact.

It is nearly impossible to list all the features about Owner Rez that I feel I could not (and certainly would not want to) live without. It is the single most important tool that I use in managing my two properties plus the five additional properties I manage for friends. I utilize about 80% of the software so it is exceptionally cost-effective for me considering all it does to save me time and to provide excellent communications and customer service to my guests. I have recommended it to hundreds of other owners and have personally set up many who wanted to use it but were daunted by the idea of getting started. It is logical, fast, thorough and the customer service I receive in the few instances I've gotten "stuck" trying to do something has been incredibly fast.
Contras:
I wish there was a way to send automated texts to guests using my own cell phone number for replies rather than having to use a 3rd number that populates back to the software only. It's impractical for me to have to check the software for replies vs the replies coming into my phone. So I still handle my texts to guests manually.
